Northern Kentucky Support Builds for Amy McGrath

March 2, 2026

U.S. Senate Candidate Amy McGrath visits Fort Thomas

PARIS, KY. – Amy McGrath visited Fort Thomas Thursday night on her statewide campaign tour. McGrath connected with local Democrats to gain their support as she runs for the U.S. Senate.

As a Northern Kentucky native, McGrath emphasized her local roots and experience, reaffirming her commitment to strong representation, lower costs, expanded healthcare access, and improved workforce opportunities for Kentucky families. Similar to McGrath, the Fort Thomas Democrats pride themselves on fighting for working families, securing quality education and affordable health care, while demanding accountability at the state and federal levels.

“I’m supporting Amy because her background in policy and education means she understands what our schools, families, and communities actually need. She listens, and she’s ready to fight for us,” said Laura Koehl.

“Plus, I think she’s our best shot at winning this November.”

During the visit, McGrath spoke with community members about supporting working Kentuckians, small businesses, healthcare, and fundamental freedoms. She also discussed building a coalition to move Kentucky toward a better future.

“Fort Thomas and communities across Northern Kentucky shaped who I am and why I am running. Hearing from neighbors about their concerns and struggles reinforces my decision to run for the U.S. Senate. What we have been doing – playing partisan politics with people’s lives- isn’t working for us in Kentucky. I’m committed to putting divisive rhetoric aside and working across the aisle to get things done.”

As part of McGrath’s ongoing outreach across the Commonwealth, engaging voters directly about the challenges and opportunities Kentucky communities face as a result of state and federal decisions. McGrath prioritizes showing up, meeting citizens where they are, and amplifying their lived experiences.

“Being a local to this area, I know the values that define Northern Kentucky — resilience, respect, and support for your neighbors,” McGrath added. “That’s the kind of leadership I will bring to Washington.”

McGrath is a Democratic candidate for the open Kentucky Senate seat. The primary election will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
